My hen do in Teapot Lane!

It’s been a few weeks since I last posted a blog, not because I haven’t been up to much but because I’ve been up to too much- and haven’t had time to sit down and write! (Not a bad complaint!)

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been away most weekends but one I want to highlight in particular was none other than my hen do! I’m getting married in just over 4 weeks time and on 12-14 June I was away glamping in Teapot lane in County Leitrim!

Up until the morning of the hen do, I had no idea where I was going- the hens had kept it a complete surprise! Nobody let anything slip! So, it wasn’t until I was handed a T-shirt with “Teapot Lane” on it, that I knew I was off to the west of Ireland!

18 of us headed down to this beautiful “glamp-site” complete with yurts, cottage, caravan and even a treehouse! On Friday night we were treated to a gourmet BBQ, private DJ and campfire! It was such a laugh dancing around the campfire to our own requested songs! It felt like a mini private festival!

On Saturday, we had afternoon tea which included sandwiches, scones, cupcakes, mini-quiches, traybakes and so much more! Honestly the amount of food was incredible! Of course, a costume was whipped out and I was made to sit dressed as a hen throughout….

As if that food wasn’t enough, we then had a delivery of pizza, chips, and garlic bread on Saturday night, before making our way to Sligo for a night out. The theme of the night was Disney, so again, unbeknownst to me, I had to wear a costume! Half an hour later and I was a beautiful Elsa from Frozen! haha!

We partied in Garavogue Bar, situated on the Garavogue River in Sligo and had the best of craic! The whole weekend was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a better send-off! Honestly laughed from start to finish!

Roll on the wedding!
