Monday 13th March- We had some lovely sunny days at the start of this week so I wanted to get out and make the most if it! I spent the day at Castle Espie in Comber. Check out the blog on the LEGO trail currently taking place at the WWT attraction!
Wednesday 15th March- On Wednesday I visited the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra with other new mums. Niamh slept through most of it , but I loved it!
After the Folk Museum I went to Ground Espresso situated in the Next store at Abbey Centre, Belfast. I ordered the bagel with cream cheese and bacon…and seriously did not expect as much bacon as this! Wow!
Thursday 16th March- my four sister-in-laws and I went for dinner at Tedford’s Kitchen based next to the Waterfront Hall. To start I shared the chicken satay spring rolls (one of the day’s specials) and the Korean Spiced Crispy Chicken Wings. For mains I went for the Red Wine Braised Daube of Irish Beef with burnt onion mash, Portobello Mushroom, smoked tomato butter and crispy Onion. They were all great but my favourite had to be the spring rolls!
After dinner we made the short journey over to the Waterfront Hall where we had front row seats to see Thriller Live! As the name might suggest, Thriller is a concert celebrating the career of Michael Jackson, with his songs, dancing and costumes through the years! I sang every word!
Friday 17th March was, of course, St Patricks Day which is a holiday here, so Barry was off work. We headed up to Cushendun to spend a long weekend there. Our neighbour had knitted us this incredibly cute cardigan and bonnet especially for the occasion.. look at her wee face!
