So, my 30th didn’t stop at the camping! You only turn 30 once so might as well celebrate!
Last Monday, myself and my mum headed to the Culloden Estate and Spa in Holywood for their spa experience, Spa-Tisserie. It’s a package which is a 55 minute treatment of your choice (you can pick full body massage, facial, luxury manicure or luxury pedicure) followed by Afternoon Tea. It costs £85pp Monday to Thursday, and £95pp Friday to Sunday.
We both went for the Luxury Pedicures, myself coming away with a nice pastel blue shade of nail polish. The treatment was followed by a lovely half an hour in the relaxation room (a darkened room with beds, music and candles), then up to the main hotel for the Titanic Afternoon Tea.
The ‘High Tea’ is choice of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, specialty teas and coffees, finished off with a lovely selection of cakes and pastries. What a selection! Enjoyed every minute!

As if all that food wasn’t enough, that evening 24 of us headed to Pizza Works pizzeria in north Belfast. I’ve talked about it on here before, but it’s a lovely BYO restaurant in Fortwilliam which does a wide range of pizzas as well as favourites such as Garlic Bread and Chicken Goujons. We had the Sharing Platter to start (Bruschetta, garlic doughballs, salad and breadsticks with chilli, BBQ and garlic dips) followed by a Four Cheese and Chorizo pizza. Delicious!
The pizzeria was booked out for 12 of my family and 12 of Barry’s and everyone had a class night! A birthday to remember!
