Robinson and Cleaver- what a view!

I visited Robinson and Cleaver restaurant for the first time this week. It’s somewhere I wanted to visit for a while, because of so many stunning photographs I’ve seen on social media over the past few months. What a view overlooking Belfast City Hall!

For those interested in the history of the building, it was originally home to the department store Robinson and Cleaver which was famed for its grand staircase and Irish Linens. Robinson and Cleaver closed down in 1984 and its famous staircase was auctioned. It opened as a restaurant in the summer of 2013.

Now, for the good bit- the food! I went for the Caesar Salad to start, followed by Crossgar Roast chicken breast, while Barry went for Fivemiletown goat’s cheese croustade to start and the Hereford Beef Burger for main. His burger was massive (which suits him down to a tee! Doesn’t like leaving a restaurant hungry!) Lovely menu, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and a lovely view…
